Date: 27th -28th of Oktober, 2009

FIDIC SEMINAR: PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATION. CLAIMS AND DISPUTES
OVERVIEW
Project manager has to have many skills, but does not need to understand all the technical fields to manage the project. These courses are intended to give project managers the right understanding about the project implementation process which consists of start, design, purchase, construction and selling phases of the project. Essential requirement for the project manager is to identify existing and introduce new additional skills to the project management team.
This practical training course, provided by a professional engineer with extensive international experience, explains and illustrates the use of the FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Construction (RED book) and the FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Plant and Design-Build (YELLOW book). The course is designed to help the participants have confidence in working with these documents whether representing Employers, Consultants or Contractors.
TUTOR: Jim Dawson is non-executive chairman of Vilnius Consult, and has 45 years experience at all levels of Contract Administration using FIDIC documents. He has been closely involved as a colleague of the Experts Team responsible for the drafting of the Standard FIDIC Documents, and as a regular visitor to Vilnius, he has been involved in all procurement issues on preparation of FIDIC tender Documents for major works. Cooperating with ECV, his companies have implemented a thorough rationalization of FIDIC and the requirements of National Construction Laws.
